Among them are widows, youth, orphans, women, and children who looked to us, EWOMI, for hope. Today, their voices are trembling, and their eyes are filled with tears. We have seen mothers clutching their children with no food to give, young ones crying out in fear, and families forced to sleep under the open sky.
This is more than a disaster; it is a humanitarian emergency.
