EWOMI Distributes Writing Materials to Pupils at New Dakwa Government Primary School

New Dakwa, Nigeria – 2024

Elijah’s Widows and Orphans Mission (EWOMI), a non-governmental organization committed to empowering widows and orphans, successfully carried out its 2024 Back-to-School program at New Dakwa Government Primary School. The initiative provided pupils with essential writing materials to support their education and ease the financial burden on parents.

During the event, EWOMI distributed exercise books, pencils, pens, erasers, and other stationery supplies to schoolchildren, ensuring they had the necessary tools to excel in their academic journey. The initiative was part of EWOMI’s broader mission to promote education and enhance learning opportunities for underprivileged children.

Speaking at the distribution ceremony, Ambassador Elijah Obaka John, the founder of EWOMI, reiterated the organization’s dedication to fostering education as a pathway to a brighter future. “Education is a fundamental right, and no child should be deprived of learning due to a lack of basic school supplies. Through this program, we aim to encourage school attendance and improve academic performance,” he stated.

Teachers, parents, and school authorities expressed profound gratitude for EWOMI’s continued support, noting that the provision of writing materials would boost students’ confidence and motivation in their studies. Pupils were visibly excited, with many sharing their appreciation for the much-needed supplies.

The Back-to-School program at New Dakwa Government Primary School is one of several educational initiatives spearheaded by EWOMI. Over the years, the organization has impacted thousands of children across Nigeria, advocating for equal educational opportunities and providing resources to those in need.

EWOMI remains committed to expanding its reach and calls on individuals and organizations to join in supporting its mission to empower the next generation through education.
