EWOMI Commemorates World Humanitarian Day in Sabo Shere Community, Niger State

Elijah’s Widows and Orphans Mission (EWOMI), a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering widows and orphans, marked World Humanitarian Day on August 19, 2019, with a special outreach program in Sabo Shere Community, Niger State. The event aimed to support vulnerable groups, reinforce the spirit of humanitarianism, and highlight the importance of collective action in uplifting disadvantaged communities.

The celebration featured the distribution of food items, clothing, and essential household supplies to widows and orphans in the community. Additionally, EWOMI organized health awareness sessions and empowerment talks to equip beneficiaries with knowledge on personal well-being and economic self-sufficiency.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Elijah Obaka John, the founder of EWOMI, emphasized the significance of humanitarian service in addressing social challenges and fostering hope among the less privileged. “World Humanitarian Day is a reminder that small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect of change.
