Elijah’s Widows and Orphans Mission (EWOMI), a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering widows and orphans, brought hope and joy to widows in Maraba Community, Nasarawa State, during its annual Christmas program in December 2019. The event, which aimed to provide relief and support, was a celebration of giving and unity.
The program featured the distribution of food items, clothing, and essential supplies to widows in the community, ensuring they could celebrate the festive season without financial strain. Additionally, the event included inspirational messages, prayers, and words of encouragement to uplift the beneficiaries.
Ambassador Elijah Obaka John, the founder of EWOMI, highlighted the significance of the initiative, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to being a “Voice to the Voiceless.” He stated, “Christmas is a time of love and sharing, and we want to remind these widows that they are not forgotten. Our goal is to bring hope and support to those who need it most.”
The widows expressed heartfelt gratitude, with many sharing how the program brought much-needed relief to their households. Community leaders commended EWOMI’s dedication to humanitarian service and encouraged continued support for widows and vulnerable individuals.
