Dear EWOMI Family, Well-wishers, and Fellow Nigerians,
On this great day, October 1st, we celebrate the birth of our beloved nation, Nigeria. Today reminds us of our journey from colonial rule under the British, to the day in 1960 when our Green-White-Green flag was hoisted in freedom. We honor the sacrifices of great nationalists like Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sir Tafawa Balewa, Chief Anthony Enahoro, and many others whose voices and actions paved the way for our independence.
As we mark this day, let us remember that the strength of our nation lies in our unity. Despite our diversity in culture, tribe, and religion, we are one Nigeria. Let us continue to embrace peace, love, and tolerance, working together for a brighter tomorrow.
We pray that God Almighty will continue to keep us united as a people, heal our land, and grant us leaders with wisdom and integrity.
At Elijah’s Widows and Orphans Mission Int’l (EWOMI), our vision remains strong: to be a voice to the voiceless, empowering widows, youth, orphans, and vulnerable communities across Nigeria. We believe in a Nigeria where everyone matters, where no one is left behind, and where compassion leads to transformation.
On this Independence Day, we wish Nigeria and every Nigerian well. May our nation rise above its challenges and shine as a land of peace, prosperity, and progress.
Happy Independence Day once again!
Long live EWOMI.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria 🇳🇬
