Warm greetings from Elijah’s Widows and Orphans Mission Int’l (EWOMI).
As you may know, EWOMI has been at the forefront of empowering widows, youth, orphans, and vulnerable children across Nigeria for more than a decade. This year, we are embarking on a special holiday project dedicated to the next generation “our children”.
📌 Our Goal:
We are committed to training 300 – 500 children (ages 12 – 17 years) this holiday season, equipping them with practical skills that can shape their future and give them a foundation for independence, creativity, and financial security. Alongside this, we want to provide each child with a Back-to-School Support Package (school bags, books, writing materials, and essential supplies) so they return to school fully prepared.
📌 Why This Project?
- Many of these children come from homes where access to skill development and basic school supplies is a luxury.
- Equipping them with skills for life ensures they have something to fall back on beyond academics.
- Supporting them with Back-to-School packages reduces the burden on struggling parents and helps keep children motivated for education.

We have carefully selected 20 skills relevant in today’s world to train them in:

- Digital Marketing Basics
- Smartphone Photography & Editing
- Basic Coding & Website Design
- Cybersecurity Awareness
- Content Creation (YouTube, TikTok, Blogging)
- Public Speaking & Presentation Skills
- Creative Writing & Storytelling
- Fashion Design (Sewing & Styling)
- Hairdressing & Braiding
- Makeup & Personal Grooming
- Baking & Cake Decoration
- Food Safety & Catering Skills
- Soap & Detergent Production
- Bead Making & Accessories
- Phone & Computer Repairs Basics
- Music & Instrument Training
- Art & Creative Painting
- Photography & Video Editing
- Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy for Teens

- Kick-off Date: Friday, 22nd August 2025
- Closing Date: Saturday, 13th September 2025 (before school resumption)
