Suleja, Niger State – December 2019
Elijah’s Widows and Orphans Mission (EWOMI) brought relief and empowerment to widows in Suleja, Niger State, during its Widows Outreach Program in December 2019. The initiative, aimed at supporting widows with essential items and knowledge, featured the distribution of relief materials and a lecture on the power of agriculture in society.
The event, which gathered a large number of widows from Suleja and surrounding areas, provided them with food supplies, clothing, and household essentials to ease their financial burden. EWOMI’s commitment to uplifting widows and vulnerable women was evident in the level of care and support extended to the beneficiaries.
A significant part of the program was the lecture on agriculture, which highlighted farming as a sustainable means of livelihood. Experts in the field discussed modern agricultural techniques, agribusiness opportunities, and strategies for self-sufficiency, encouraging widows to explore agriculture as a pathway to financial stability.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to consider agriculture as a means to improve their economic conditions and ensure food security for their families.
The widows expressed deep appreciation for the outreach, noting that both the donated items and the agricultural training would have a lasting impact on their lives. Many of them shared their aspirations to start small-scale farming and agribusiness ventures following the insightful session.
