Elijah’s Widows and Orphans Mission (EWOMI), a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting widows and orphans, successfully carried out its Back-to-School program, distributing writing materials to pupils in need. The initiative aimed to equip schoolchildren with essential educational supplies, ensuring they have the necessary tools to excel academically.
As part of the program, EWOMI provided exercise books, pencils, pens, erasers, and other learning materials to pupils from underprivileged backgrounds. The initiative was designed to ease the financial burden on families and encourage school attendance among children who might otherwise struggle to afford basic school supplies.
Speaking at the distribution event, Ambassador Elijah Obaka John, the founder of EWOMI, emphasized the organization’s commitment to education as a key driver of societal development. “Every child deserves access to quality education, and something as simple as writing materials can make a huge difference in a pupil’s academic journey. Our goal is to ensure that no child is left behind due to a lack of resources,” he stated.
Teachers and parents expressed deep appreciation for EWOMI’s efforts, noting that the provision of writing materials would enhance learning and motivate pupils to perform better in school. Many beneficiaries shared their excitement, acknowledging how the support would positively impact their studies.
